Cummins hosts Recycling Day | Local News Digital

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Cummins Inc. is holding another Recycling Day on Thursday, September 15, at the Cummins Engine Plant entrance at 500 Central Ave. Hours for the event are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in a drop-off format.

Community members are asked to bring recyclables including plastic bottles and containers, glass bottles, cardboard, paper, used batteries, metal cans, household paint, clothing, electronic waste, and used motor oil.

Other items that are accepted include fluorescent lights, tires (limit of 4), and antifreeze. Televisions, appliances (no refrigerators or air conditioning units), computers, and electronics are also welcome.

Cummins employees will help unload. Recyclables must be clean and sorted into categories.

Items not accepted include plastic bags, styrofoam, tractor tires, household lightbulbs, mercury thermometers, chemicals, pesticides, pressure vessels, propane cylinders, bricks, pavers, and concrete blocks.
